Pragmata has multiple story outcomes depending on how you play. The game doesn’t use a simple choice at the end. Instead, it tracks the bond with Diana and the completion of memory fragments, side content, and post-game challenges. Your actions throughout the entire game decide the outcome.
The True Ending is a similar core ending, but with an extra post-credits scene and stronger emotional closure. The default ending is the ending most players get on their first run, while the Abandonment Ending shows poor gameplay performance and a lack of connection between characters.

This ending is gained due to low synchronization with Diana, failed protection sequences, and ignoring upgrades or side content. This is the worst ending that a player can get due to several factors. It involves Hugh and Diana’s bond falling apart, failing to properly participate in the final act. The mission collapses, and their connection is emotionally severed during this ending. It showcases humans treating AI as tools with no trust.
Default Ending
This standard ending is the normal one that most players may get. You can get it by simply finishing the game normally using the best tips & tricks. The final boss gets defeated, the lunar station collapses, and Hugh sacrifices himself to launch Diana to Earth. In the post-credit scene, a signal from Earth suggests humanity still exists.
True Ending in Pragmata
The true ending in Pragmata is the best and canon conclusion of the story. This basically expands on the normal ending with extra scenes. Hugh and Diana reach the lunar transport system after defeating the final boss at the climax of Pragmata. The lunar station is collapsing, and the shuttle to Earth cannot launch automatically.
True Ending in Pragmata
Hugh realizes someone must stay behind to manually launch it, so he chooses to stay behind. Hugh manually pushes the launch system, and Diana is forced to leave alone. Diana successfully travels to Earth after the sacrifice of Hugh. She lands near a body of water in the post-credit scene, and someone asks if she’s alone. She replies: “I’m ready.”
True Ending of Pragmata
The True Ending of Pragmata focuses on self-determination and human connection. However, the game doesn’t confirm his fate as he’s left behind on a collapsing lunar station. The standard ending may fail or lack closure, but the true ending requires high completion and adds a post-credits scene on Earth. You need maximum bond, completion of side content like memories, missions, upgrades, and effective performance to unlock the true ending.
How To Get the True Ending
The True Ending requires you to clear the main story, clear Unknown Signal, and equip the New Mod. Below are all the steps to unlock the True Ending in Pragmata.
- Complete the Campaign and begin the new Unknown Signal post-game mode.
- Finish 100% each sector and kill Sector’s Mk. II version boss.
- Complete all 10 Hidden Chamber missions to gain Black Box.
- Defeat the final boss to get True Ending.
1. Unknown Signal In Pragmata
Unknown Signal is a post-game mode in Pragmata and is more than just bonus content. It works like a challenge mode and a continuation of the story. You enter a special area called the Hidden Chamber and complete 10 simulation missions called Sim Pods. Get ready to defeat the upgraded version of the bosses and finish 100% completion. Earning the powerful rewards like weapons, outfits, and mods is essential in Unknown Signal.
Unlock Unknown Signal
You can unlock the Unknown Signal by finishing the main story, defeating the final boss, watching the credits, and loading your completed save file. Once done, the game automatically unlocks Unknown Signal mode.
You return to the Shelter before beating the final boss, and you see an Unknown Signal appear. You are now sent to the hidden Chamber and start the post-game missions. You must complete the challenges of ten individual pods. The challenges are harder to complete and require meeting certain conditions to unlock each of the pods.
Sim Pods
Your objectives are offered by the Shelter and are specific time limits. Completing the challenges lets you grant access to a room to get a unique weapon, costumes for Hugh and Diana, and a mod. These items are crucial to obtain for the True Ending.
2. Clear the Main Story
Completing the story for the first time is the main progression way to get the True Ending in Pragmata. You can’t get the true ending on the first playthrough, so you must unlock the post-game content. Unlock the Unknown Signal after clearing the story. Select this game mode to select a save file that has cleared the main game and takes you to the shelter before beating the final boss.
3. Equip the New Mode
Black Box Mod
Finish the Unknown Signal’s pods to get your hands on the new special Mod called Black Box. This is a memory mod, so equip this before going to defeat the final to gain a True Ending. This ending has extended scenes, showcasing how Hugh gets saved by the Black Box Mod. Earning the True Ending requires much more work than the others.
Is the True Ending in Pragmata actually worth it?
