When it comes to the Alien franchise, the series has been celebrated way beyond the original films. Alongside the FX television series and 2024’s Alien: Romulus, the video games have only delivered to the longing appetite for more content. Last year, Rectify Gaming reviewed Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, describing it as a “technically competent adaptation that captures the Alien atmosphere but suffers from repetitive pacing and the limitations of its VR origins.”
Additionally, there have been updates on some of the older games of the series too. In late 2024, Creative Assembly & Sega announced a sequel for Alien Isolation has officially been greenlit. “I’m delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development,” creative director Al Hope wrote then for the original game’s 10th anniversary.
Recently, the first teaser for the next Alien Isolation title was dished out. While brief, it certainly carries the same aesthetic & tone of the original and will feature the same analog tech that the universe is known for. You can watch the ‘False Sense of Security’ teaser in the video below:
“A feeling of being safer than one really is,” the description for the YouTube trailer reads. The short teaser simply shows air-lock doors opening the glowing light of a payphone. At the same time, a sheet of rain casts over the appliance as it zooms in on the payphone with the text ‘Emergency’ casted from the light. It likely is foreshadowing the impending scenarios players will face against Xenomorphs in the sequel.
What are your thoughts on the new Alien game from the new teaser shared so far?
