Tomorrow there will be a new patch coming to Destiny, we do not know anything about this new patch except that it will pave the road for Rise of Iron (September 20th). We do know that there will be a weapon patch but 2.4 has yet to be confirmed to include a weapon rebalance which the game desperately needs for Auto rifles and the slower firing precision weapons in the sandbox.
Right now the Guns that rule crucible are the faster firing Pulse rifles, like Hawksaw, fast firing Auto rifles like the Doctrine of Passing, Mida Multitool, Exotic handcannons, and any kind of shotgun. Now not ALL of these guns are bad to rule the game, it’s better than when Suros was the king of the Crucible back in Vanilla Destiny, but there are good guns in the game that sadly aren’t being used because they don’t have a high time to kill like they used to. Back in Year 1 the last Exotic that took me months to drop once it became the last Exotic I needed was Red Death, it was a beast but since that archetype of Pulse rifles got nerfed then it became horrible. Last week I got a God Roll Spare Change from my Nightfall Crucible bounties yet it sucks because that archetype of Pulse rifles is horrible in the current meta. Something needs to be done about the high firing shotguns so that they’ll be as desirable as the high impact variants. Fusion rifles are still the lesser of the special weapons in the crucible, they used to be the most used in the crucible and got nerfed over and over even after they were crippled.
Again we still don’t know what’s going to be introduced in the patch tomorrow, it could not be a weapon rebalance. However the game is in its most balanced state of the games history and a rebalance could make it even better if they made every gun usable like they should be.
