Warped Games has launched its sci-fi PvE looter shooter, Warped Universe, in Early Access on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Warped Universe is built around a shared universe meta-game where every mission completed by any player will advance the entire community. Run a mission, secure resources, and defend a facility from the Void. That facility, once completed, gives a permanent buff to every player in the game. Hundreds of these objectives, every season, all feeding the same evolving universe.
The developer mentions that fans of Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Galactic, Destiny 2, Everspace 2, and Warframe will find something to enjoy in Warped Universe.
Below is an overview of the game via Warped Games:
Play Any Mission Your Way: Real-time third-person action or turn-based tactics. Ground combat or space exploration. Every mission can be approached the way you want, while still contributing to the shared universe.
Built by Net Devil Veterans: The team’s combined credits include Jumpgate, Auto Assault, LEGO Universe, and Dragons & Titans. Decades of MMO and co-op development experience now applied to an independent free-to-play project.
Free to Play, Forever: No paywalls. No pay-to-win. No gameplay locked behind a purchase. Cosmetics-only monetization. The game stays free after Early Access.
