Xbox announced today that select Xbox Insiders are getting an early look at the latest updates coming to Xbox consoles. Previously, there were tests for changes to Achievement Lists and more. The newest update is going to bring a new Boot Up Experience and the introduction of Gamerscore Badges.
Gamerscore Overhaul
For so long, the Xbox Gamerscore has become bland and almost forgettable. Now, there will be Tiered Gamerscore Badges for Xbox players to earn. There will be tiers for 1K, 3K, 5 K, 10K, 20K, 35K, 50K, and up to 10M Gamerscore.
This will give players a fresh way to showcase their journey on the platform. They appear on your profile and in the guide, making it easily accessible to see your achievement history. The badge evolves as you hit new milestones.
Xbox is finally getting a new boot up
Since Asha Sharma took over Xbox, there have not only been changes to the company internally but also visually. The Xbox logo has seen a refreshed look, and now all Xbox Series consoles will soon get a new boot up experience.
The new Xbox boot up will feature a new animation and sound, featuring the new Xbox logo with the signature green that makes the brand so iconic.
As part of this Xbox Insiders update, there will be a new way to filter your game library.
In other news, Xbox Mode started rolling out to Windows 11 PCs a few weeks ago. It has also been reported that a new ‘Project Positron’ is happening at Microsoft that could lead to a Disc-to-Digital Entitlement Program.
