Last year, we got news of Crackdown 3, a destructible world of super police offices powered by the cloud, and that it was coming soon to you Xbox collection. Xbox’s Phil Spencer responded to a fan on Twitter who was asking about the progress of Crackdown 3 as we haven’t heard much or any public news regarding its progress. Spencer’s reply will please many fans of the series and upcoming entry.
According the Spencer’s tweet, he played a bit of the upcoming Crackdown 3 with Shannon Loftis of Microsoft Studios and said it was the “[b]est CD exp I’ve had” and followed up by saying that “[a]gent control, world is very alive, diverse enemies” and said it was “really fun”. Spencer’s thoughts after playing the game are reassuring for those who feared for the project’s fate following the recent cancellation of Scalebound, which Microsoft Studios were set to publish.
Spencer also answered a question regarding the cloud technology behind the game’s massivley destructible world. He said that the “[t]ech is working great” and that means more good news for the developing game. Knowing what we do, Crackdown 3 is looking great and set for a strong release. As we learn more about the game, be sure to stay tuned for the latest.
