In an announcement we figured had to be coming soon, developer 10tons Ltd announced today that they will be releasing their games on the Nintendo Switch beginning Q3 this year.
The first two games will be Sparkle 2 and top-down shooter Neon Chrome. Three of their newest games currently in development, Jydge, Time Recoil and Tesla vs. Lovecraft will be released on the Switch at the same time they land on other platforms as well. Jydge is also a top-down shooter, but will function a bit different than Neon Chrome. For one, it won’t have any procedural levels and focus more on a strategic approach to the game’s straight forward setup. Similar to Neon Chrome, however, there will be fully destructible walls and environments.
“As a multiplatform developer and publisher, we couldn’t be more excited about our upcoming Nintendo Switch support. The Switch is an amazing device and a perfect fit for our games. We’re in very special position as all our games have been carefully designed for both big screen and small screen play. Our custom engine allows us to squeeze maximum performance from the device as well.” says Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons Ltd.
Other games from 10tons that will be releasing will be Crimsonland, the Sparkle Series, Tennis in the Face, Baseball Riot, etc. Release dates for the rest of their games will come at a later date, but the first ones to hit the Switch platform will be Neon Chrome and Sparkle 2 later this year.
