One more game is being denied by Sony for the Crossplay feature after Psyonix said they had their game [Rocket League] was ready for Cross-platform, “Right now, we’re literally at the point where all we need is the go-ahead on the Sony side and we can, in less than a business day, turn it on and have it up and working no problem. It’d literally take a few hours to propagate throughout the whole world, so really we’re just waiting on the permission to do so”
Well, that was a year ago and to this day Sony hasn’t given the greenlight to make it happen. This time is Ark: Survival Evolved having the cross-play feature ready to be deployed to all Xbox One and PS4 players. Jeremy Stielglitz, Lead Designer, Lead Programmer & Co-Creative Director at Studio Wildcard said on Twitter they had the feature working, “but currently Sony won’t allow it”.
We have it working internally, but currently Sony won't allow it :(

What do you think of the news? Should Sony allow cross-play for games that support it?
