Defiance – Alcatraz Update Live Now

Season 3 of the Defiance tv show begins June 12th on SyFy, but the game update is available now. Both Xbox 360 and PS3 users can now journey to Alcatraz, the newest location to be featured in the show. Defiance is the first game to be interconnected to a TV show and is currently free to play on both consoles and PC. Plans of both an Xbox One and PS4 release were negated when we confirmed with Trion world’s the game was not in development.

Defiance’s Alcatraz content update adds brand-new features to the game, including the all-new Expeditions feature, allowing players to participate in a gauntlet of co-op matches against increasingly tough enemies for even greater rewards. Players will also be introduced to Cyber Rigs, systems that augment players’ natural abilities and allow further customization and upgrades to weapons, shields, vehicles and more via the use of Cyber Chips.
