Among the lawsuit between PUBG and Fornite recently, Bethesda and Warner Bros. have ran into a similar case as Bethesda filed a suit against the publisher for reusing code for their Westworld mobile game from Fallout Shelter.
Reported by Game Informer that they got a response from Warner Bros. regarding Bethesda’s claims towards Westworld. In the statement it is mention that this allegation against Behavior Interactive is “baseless”. Warner Bros. states in the report:
Warner Bros. has been assured by the game developer, Behaviour Interactive, that Bethesda’s allegations are untrue and that none of Bethesda’s code was used in the Westworld game.  Moreover, contrary to Bethesda’s baseless accusation, Warner Bros. at no time “induced” Behaviour to use the Fallout Shelter code in Westworld.
For the current status of the lawsuit against Warner Bros. is still uncertain after this statement, we do know that the similarities between the two titles is valid enough for the suit. But with the publisher publicly stating the code from Bethesda’s mobile game isn’t present should show a soon end to the allegations.
Fallout Shelter is available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC.
