Respawn Entertainment revealed that the Titanfall developer will be creating a Star Wars title through the publishing license under Electronic Arts. For what the game could be, or even look like has been left in the dark since 2016 as Respawn has yet to detail what the game will primarily focus on in the massive universe.

This past E3, Respawn Entertainment Head Vince Zampella did confirm through a brief interview the title for the anticipated game and for it to be set between Episode III and Episode IV from the film franchise.

Now more recently today, the EA Star Wars Twitter account revealed in a tweet that the upcoming title will be receiving an official later this April for the Star Wars Celebration held in Chicago, Illinois.

EA also detailed that those who will be unable to participate in the upcoming event will still be able to endure the forthcoming reveal most likely through a posted demo or announcement trailer. Seeing how well received Titanfall 2 and now Apex Legends, the chances for a solid Star Wars title from the ex-Call of Duty developer is pretty likely as of right now. It’s already fact that the studio got mechs down through their mascot title, as well as story from the sequel and gameplay from Apex, Jedi: Fallen Order seems to be in the right hands.

Seeing how the stars are aligning for a solid Star Wars game, it’s still worth noting that Disney revealed in their latest earnings call that the conglomerate is ecstatic with the performance Electronic Arts has pulled with the franchise’s game publishing license despite fans thinking otherwise with the most recent Battlefront titles.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order currently does not have a release date, but it is expected to release later this year in Fall 2019 according to EA following Anthem’s delay early last year and more recently with EA’s 2018 earnings call.
