Amid some of the more anticipated keynotes at this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Otherside Entertainment took the public eye with a new teaser for the long awaited third installment, System Shock 3.

The 30-second teaser was presented during the Unity Keynote at the five-day event as Warren Spector alongside the game’s developer revealed a short glimpse of title’s pre-alpha engine.

Featuring some of the game’s enemies within the short glimpse of what is planned for the next game, they surely are terrifying. Especially with the closing scene of the teaser with SHODAN taking up the big screen.

For when players could return to the cult classic universe that is System Shock will be quite some time. As the footage shown above is in pre-alpha, it is fairly certain that the game’s development will be a precise process to bring another great experience that the previous two brought nearly two decades before.

There is no word as of yet on what platforms System Shock 3 will be available on when the title is ready to drop.
