BioWare’s Anthem has been on quite the journey for only launching back in February of this year as the game have been and continue to be plagued with issues that unable users from playing the highly anticipated title. Varying from game breaking bugs to even hardware faltering problems, there is plenty of wrong that the game have brought since releasing.

BioWare have promised to continue putting resources into the game to bring what was initially promised when originally showcasing the game back in 2017. And the studio did just that with the handful of patches that have been pushed out the past few months and more recently with the latest 1.1.0 patch that recently dropped for the game.

Removing some of the nuisances that previously irritated players such as having to continuously travel to either the launch bay or Fort Tarsis to initiate new contracts: now players can accept the missions from the game’s menu with no needless traveling to the specified location. Also giving players the choice to select the following mission directly after completing a mission prior will ease up on some of the tension that is still lying on top of the new title.

Among what seems to be a slightly greener pasture for Anthem, that is only half of the story as both Live Services Head Chad Robertson and Lead Producer Ben Irving shared that upcoming plans for the game will be halted as more fixes are still needed on the game’s subreddit.

While we have delivered many of the Act 1 features on time, we are not going to hit all the goals on our Act 1 Calendar. We have been prioritizing things like bug fixes, stability and game flow over the new features of Act 1. We set aside time for this work, but the reality is there are more things to fix and improve than we planned for. While this is the best thing to do for the game, it means some items from the calendar will be delayed.

For what content that is listed to be detoured from the game’s roadmap of content are freeplay events, guilds, mastery system, leaderboards, phase II legendary missions, weekly stronghold challenges, and the expansion-like Cataclysm. Though the other features have no specific date for when we can expect them, BioWare did share that more information regarding Cataclysm will be shared next month.

Anthem is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
