Microsoft had a great showing at this years E3 2019 and they were not done announcing more studio acquisitions like last year. During the show they announced they welcomed Double Fine Productions to the Xbox Game Studios family. If you aren’t familiar with the studio they’ve been around for almost 20 years and made Pyschonauts, Brutal Legend, and Broken Age.

Going into this conference Xbox Game Studios was just at 13 total studios and then they walk out with a total of 15. The one obviously being Double Fine and the other being their newly-created Age of empires studio headed by Shannon Loftis and publishing group headed by Peter Wyse.

During the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing, Phil Spencer announced that Project Scarlett will be launching Holiday 2020 with Halo Infinite being its launch title. Gears 5 was officially announced for a September 10th release date and revealed a new game mode called ‘Escape’.
