What looks to be an after effect of the unloaded news for 2010’s NieR returning with a remaster for new consoles in the west, Square Enix has announced that the follow-up installment NieR Automata will be releasing on Xbox Game Pass later this week. Instead of a witty announcement or memonic reveal made by Xbox Game Pass’ Twitter account, we instead go the news from the team itself.
“To all YoRHa units in possession of #Xbox – #NieR:Automata BECOME AS GODS Edition will be coming to #Xbox Game Pass on April 2nd!”, the tweet reads.
The titled ‘Become As Gods Edition’ unlike the initial 2017 version offers a slew of additional in-game items and cosmetics for your playable protagonist, 2B. Some of the mentioned add-on content includes themed pod skins for your combat assisting ordinance alongside wearable costumes and an added “Deserving of Life” music video choreographed by Japanese rock group amazarashi.
The mentioned remaster for the initial entry for NieR is said to incorporate fully casted dialogue and a re-recorded soundtrack this time around. Notable developers that worked with PlatinumGames on Automata will also be collaborating in the development of NieR Replicant to make things better.
The latest batch of titles that shipped for Xbox Game Pass includes Ace Combat &: Unkown Skies, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and The Surge 2. You can read the full report by heading here.
