Just yesterday we witnessed the 8-hour livestream of recognized online artist BossLogic create the announcement composition for Ubisoft Montreal’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Officially unveiling the game publicly, publisher Ubisoft announced that the following morning will introduce the first trailer for the game.

And just moments ago, Ubisoft finally pulled back the curtain to show the first glimpse of what players can expect from the new world coming to the Assassin’s Creed universe. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

The synapse in the video’s descriptions reads as: “You are Eivor, a fierce Viking warrior raised on tales of battle and glory. Explore a dynamic and beautiful open world set against the brutal backdrop of England’s Dark Ages. Raid your enemies, grow your settlement, and build your political power in your quest to earn your place among the gods in Valhalla.”

In the latter of the description, Ubisoft also reveals that combat has been reinvented to reintroduce older gameplay elements like duel wielding weapons and utilization of shields in combat. Set during the age of the developing Dark Ages, players are told to be able to cast raids on the castles of the English hierarch to establish dominance in the European civil war.

Alongside liquidating the opposing kingdom, players will also learn to create a thriving settlement comprised of those who battle alongside you and that you recruit along the way. Player customization is also emphasized to be a main focus as users will be able to share their creation to allow friends to adopt for their own raids in-game.

Ubisoft reveals that the latest installment for the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be arriving in this coming holiday. However, does not spare a specific date. This entails that the game could perhaps be a next-generation released title as Ubisoft awaits for the dates system to be shared for the new systems. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told in an interview previously to be compliant on delaying upcoming titles if the new hardware does not ship in time; which you can read by heading here.

Are you excited for the newest Assassin’s Creed set in the Viking Era?

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will ship sometime in holiday 2020 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia.
