Dating back to October of last year, developer Hardsuit Labs announced that due to overestimating the development for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the anticipated sequel will be seeping into 2020 for its approaching release. This happened prior to the ongoing events regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, so it is suspected more time will be required since most teams are being troubled by the work-from-home ethic recently adopted.

Regardless, the Seattle-based studio has returned to reveal that the upcoming sequel will be coming to Xbox Series X later this year. The team revealed the news with the ‘Come Dance’ trailer, which you can watch in the video below:

“Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society. Experience Seattle – a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots and schemes will change the balance of power,” the synopsis for the title shares. Players will haunt their prey as they prowl the west coast city playing as a well-blended vampire; the trailer depicts.

Despite the initial Bloodlines entry released back in 2004, the upcoming follow-up has adopted the original writer Brian Mitsoda to work on the sequel. Players will decide where their stance is throughout the underground vampire society amongst the straying factions that divide the night-depending monsters.

As many would expect from an approaching release title, Bloodline 2 will support Smart Delivery for Xbox One/Xbox Series X. So players who are interested in tackling the game when it releases can continue to do so when the new hardware arrive later this holiday season.
