Surprising as it may be this long journey that 2020 has evolved into with the ongoing concerns of COVID-19 and the precautions of social distancing has stretched out the beginning of this new decade. But believe it or not, we are just less than a week away from the halfway mark for 2020. And in light of the next month, Sony announced on title that will be part of the next PlayStation Plus lineup of free games for anticipating subscribers.

Earlier today, Sony on Twitter announced that Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WWII will be just one of the two presumed titles for June 2020 free titles on PlayStation 4.

What’s funny about this project in particular is that 2020 was initially Sledgehammer Games’ year to release the next Call of Duty installment. But due to internal conflicts with Raven Software to decide on the base for the new game, the opportunity has been handed to Treyarch. Recently, the game was reported to be dubbed ‘Call of Duty: Cold War’ and to stand as a reboot of the Black Ops subseries set in the time period.

Sony tells that the firm will share more on the approaching lineup in the coming days. Currently, PlayStation Plus owners are indulging in Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 2019. While these game do not align with the production that the 2017 first-person shooter, we recommend you install the two before the offer is gone later on.

Elsewhere recently, it was shared recently that PlayStation Now subscribers have approached a new achievement for the service. In a recent financial report for fiscal year 2019, Sony disclosed that the user base for PlayStation Plus doubled within the last few months. Now, PlayStation Now stands at 2.2 million users strong.
