Just last month, Sea of Thieves players took on the latest free content update which included cats, a newly improved arena, and a handful of new in-game items/actions for players to continue decorating their pirate with as the game overtakes two years since its release back in 2018.

And with that already over a month ago, Rare has yet again returned with the next shipment of content that will be coming with this month’s update. Unveiling ‘Lost Treasures’, player can find a handful of refinements made to the story aspect for Sea of Thieves as well as new activities for players to take on when in-game for the coming weeks.

Regarding story content, Rare reveals that story quests now have descriptions to list what adventure you’ll be taking on. Even more, each questline will be divided into chapters which play as checkpoints to allow players to progress at their own pace. But the content does not stop there as there is a bulk of new activities that players can indulge in at certain times when playing Sea of Thieves.

Here is the full roster of events:

  • Daily Bounties (12:00 AM – 11:59 PM) – primitive challenges to complete in reward for gold and experience points.
  • Fort Nights (Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM) – a weekly event to cash in better rewards from gather loot in nearby forts.
  • Gold Rush (6:00 PM – 7:00 Pm) – collecting gold from outposts will reward players with more monetary income.
  • Reaper’s Rewards (5/28 10:00 AM – 6/8 10:00 AM) – collect titular chests and completing specific bounties will offer new cosmetics and emotes.
  • Blighted Bonus (6/10 10:00 AM – 6/16 10:00 AM) – finishing objectives for the four companies will unlock the ‘Blighted ship set’ inspired by State of Decay.
  • Hunter’s Haul (Starts 5/27) – trading in 300 fish will provide players ancient coins for the Ruby Splashtail Fishing Rod.

When visiting the Pirate Emporium, players can also pay for the Ruby Splashtail-inspired ship set alongside a matching themed costume for your pirate to sport as well. Players can also find a new emote to mimic the movements of Joe Neate and his prolific story telling for Sea of Thieves

Recently, the game’s Executive Producer teased that there will be enhancements for Sea of Thieves when the ship arrives for Xbox Series X. It is suspected we could witness 60 frames per second for the upgraded version. You can read the full report by heading here.
