The introduction of Smart Delivery for the Xbox Series X has been and continues to be a generous feature which shows that Microsoft aims to put the consumer ahead of other ambitions for the new platform. The implemented ability of Smart Delivery allows Xbox One owners who purchase certain titles to be able to play said games on the newer Xbox Series X. Now, Microsoft has shared new information regarding the coming feature.

In a recent blog post, Microsoft spares new details regarding Smart Delivery and lists the current batch of supported titles for those planning to transition to the next-generation console. Here is the list of games enabled for Smart Delivery:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Call of the Sea
  • Chorus
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Destiny 2
  • DiRT 5
  • Gears 5
  • Halo Infinite
  • Metal: Hellslinger
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Second Extinction
  • The Ascent
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Atop of what we already knew from the compiled titles that were previously announced, Microsoft also shared some more interesting additions coming to Smart Delivery. One being that select Xbox Game Pass titles will ship at launch via Smart Delivery like Gears 5. The game is also expected to arrive with the Optimized version specifically for Xbox Series X.

Elaborating on the next topic with Halo Infinite, Microsoft explains that if players decide to purchase the title for physical or digital on Xbox One – it will be available on Xbox Series X.When Halo Infinite launches alongside Xbox Series X and Xbox One this holiday, you only have to buy the game once and you’ll get the best version for whichever console you own.”

This week, it was reported that Sony does not plan to implement its own version of Smart Delivery which carries current-generation purchases to the coming PlayStation 5. You can read the full report by heading here.
