Netflix Teases First Look At The Cuphead Show

Just over a month ago, it was reported that Netflix would be showcasing its coming animated series based on its duo of porcelain brothers, Cuphead & Mugman. In the reporting, it was revealed that the coming show would be presented during the Annecy Festival Online showcase hosted by the French group in mid June and provided a synopsis of the arriving Netflix series.

And the showcase has came and went giving a brief look at the show revealing some iconic animations and featured some of the iconic vistas derived directly in the titular Studio MDHR title. Even more, Netflix did not take long to capitalize on the opportunity to spare the aforementioned footage along with introducing some of the individuals involved with the coming project also.

The featured video reveals that Tru Valentino of Fast & Furious Spy Racers and Hot Streets will be donning the role of Cuphead while Frank Todaro will take the role as Mugman. While Valentino has a smaller resumé, Todaro has worked on animated series like NiNoKuni, Berserk, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Outside of televised entertainment, Todaro has also voiced in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and God Eater 3.

On the production side of the operation for The Cuphead Show, Andrea Fernandez (Invader ZIM: Enter the Florpus, Powerpuff Girls) will be the Art Director for the show and C.J. Kettler (The Mask, Conan: The Adventurer) will be another Executive Producer added to the roster.

With the little shown from both the Annecy Festival alongside the Netflix teaser, there is still plenty of internal development needed for the show. Viewing some of the scenes that for team wanted present still in the works of being animated, straight from the storyboard, expect the wait to be quite some time until the show receives its release date for Netflix in the coming future.
