
The upcoming live-action God of War TV Series had started filming in March 2026 with Ryan Hurst as the star of the show playing Kratos. It has now been reported by TMZ that filming on the TV Series is paused as the star got injured on set.
According to TMZ’s sources, Ryan Hurst tore his bicep while filming a stunt. They also report that Hurst’s injury will require surgery. Production was hopeful to have him ready for the middle of August. However, the recovery process is longer than they expected.
It has been reported that filming on the God of War TV Series won’t resume until 2027.
Amazon Studios has not made any official announcement regarding this.
The God of War TV Series is going to feature 10 episodes in Season 1. Now with the sudden injury and delay, the release of the show could be delayed even further.
God of War continues to be a beloved gaming franchise from Sony. It’s the most engaged PlayStation franchise to day ahead of The Last of Us, Spider-Man, Gran Turismo, and others.
