UPDATE:
From a recent Community Update from 343i, they have officially confirmed that they will be showing off the first look at Halo Infinite’s Campaign. Now there is no word on if we will see multiplayer this event as many fans expect it’s still possible.
If we don’t see any multiplayer we’d assume that it will be coming real soon after this upcoming Xbox Games Showcase as Halo Infinite is aimed to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X.
“Save the date! We’re excited to share what the team’s been working on – the first look at Halo Infinite’s Campaign is coming on July 23!”
It is finally happening! Microsoft have revealed the date where they’ll be showing off their upcoming first-party games lineup for Xbox Series X as well as having other third-party showcases within the presentation.
The Xbox Games Showcase will take place on July 23 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM EST with a Summer Game Fest Pre-Show an hour before the showcase featuring Geoff Keighley.

Originally, it was reported that the upcoming Xbox digital presentation would come the week of July 20th and then, VGC had accurately reported that it will indeed be July 23rd.
It has become known in the industry that there will be a big showcase and focus on Halo Infinite during this event as it will be a launch title for the Xbox Series X. If E3 2020 had occurred it was also said that the team at 343i were planning on stealing the show at the event, but due to the impact of COVID-19 we have to wait just a little longer.
Another report coming from VGC was that The Initiative are planning to officially unveil what their AAA game will be as they are one of the newer additions to the Xbox Games Studio.
In August it was reported that Microsoft will announce the Xbox Series S which is supposed to be a cheaper version of the Series X.
