Microsoft turned out to be the only company to show a sneak peak of their upcoming upgraded console while Nintendo and Sony held back. According to sources, Sony’s PlayStation 4K or “Neo” will still launch this year despite not showing it at E3. Eurogamer has found the information that “several sources” who have indicated that the hardware upgrade is on track for 2016. If it were to launch this year it would be in October right before the Holidays.
Andrew House has stated the console will most likely be announced and released within one quick sweep, Tokyo Game Show and Gamescom are likely events that Sony will show off their upgraded console.
We will have to just wait and see until Sony reveals it and that could be within the next month or 2.
