The original release date of September 21st for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy has now been pushed to mid-November, according to Activision.
Paul Yan, co-head of Toys for Bob states in a blog post that the game “needs more love and care” to make the game just right, extending the release almost two months more than its initial launch date. It is fairly odd seeing an Activision title getting delayed; as we already know, most of their titles get pushed to release and any problems that come later get patched out in upcoming updates.
Assuming for this delay, is to put time in compressing the game following the recent leak that the physical version of the Reignited Trilogy will launch with the first game, and the other two to be separate downloads that come with the game. This left many fans angry with the additional needed storage for the second and third games.

Another interesting part is pushing the release date closer to other competing titles like Pokémon and Fallout 76. This might hinder sales from their full potential compared to the original September release.
Unlike the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Reignited Trilogy will release on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Though crash did later get an release date for Xbox, PC and Switch, it’d be nice to see the other platforms be included in the process reaching November.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 13, 2018.
