When it comes to Bethesda-released titles, ever so often a game ships from the developer does it hardly fail in delivering a riveting, open-world experience only the developer could manage to roll out. And with the upcoming release of Starfield, that is no different. However, amid the anticipation to hit store shelves, controversy already follows the game. Confusion previously ignited distress there is no physical version for Starfield before the firm addressed the claims to be false.

Additionally, the game’s launch platform also brings the integrity of Bethesda into question. Originally, the game was considered to launch on PlayStation. But before much of the initial intentions could be executed, Microsoft acquired Bethesda. Even more, the title despite being framed a next-generation release is only offering a 30Hz option. But is rendered at a targeted 4K resolution.

This week, the latest growing fire for Starfield comes in the midst of early reviews for the game rolling out. In particular, the menu has left many concluding that Starfield is expected to launch in a rushed state, X user @Grummz expresses.

However, despite much of the noise surrounding the post, Bethesda’s Pete Hine went on to respond to the claims. “Or they designed what they wanted and that’s been our menu for years and was one of the first things we settled on,” Hines said. He also continues by elaborating on initial poster’s way of questioning which illustrates to be more biased-driven rather than general concern for the title’s state upon release.

“Having an opinion is one thing. Questioning out a developer’s ‘care’ because you would have done it different is highly unprofessional coming from another ‘dev.’” Not too long before, the official file size for Starfield has been revealed. Via console pre-load on Xbox Series X|S, it reveals consoles require 126.1 GB whilst PC asks for 139.84 GB. You can read the full report by heading here.
