One of the biggest franchises from Xbox, Age of Empires, continues to push its popularity to new players. And with four major installments, it is no secret the success that follows. “Age of Empires IV is a welcome addition to a classic and beloved series. It plays well and doesn’t sacrifice any of its visuals or depth. It stands with Halo Wars as a great RTS to play, even as a casual fan of RTS titles,” our review for Age of Empires IV reads.
What’s more, PC is not the only platform to indulge in Age of Empires. In September this past fall, World’s Edge launched Age of Empires IV for Xbox. Additionally, more games did roll out for console as well. Even earlier in January that same year, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition arrived for controller players then.
At the Xbox Games Showcase, World’s Edge returns with a new announcement – Age of Mythology: Retold. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“World’s Edge – the award-winning studio behind the Age of Empires franchise – showcased a trailer of truly mythical proportions: with a first look at gameplay from the upcoming Age of Mythology: Retold. Age of Mythology: Retold will combine the best elements of the beloved Age of Mythology (2002) with modern real-time strategy design, visuals and gameplay.

“The newly premiered trailer at Xbox Showcase 2024 revealed the first gameplay footage, showing off exciting action and divine powers, as well as some newly redesigned deity portraits,” the description from the Xbox Wire post reveals. Noted, the current plans is for Age of Mythology: Retold to launch on PC.
