All Halo WC 2018 tournaments will be played on the Xbox One X.

In December it was announced that MLG and Halo were partnering back up for the Halo World Championship season this year. Now some people might have been wondering what console will the tournament be played on as we all know the Xbox One X recently launched in November as the worlds most powerful console.
It has been officially announced by 343i that all official HaloWC 2018 tournament play will be on Xbox One X. This includes main stage matches, featured stations, FFA, and open bracket play – every single tournament match will take place on the newest and most powerful Xbox hardware. The move to Xbox One X brings numerous benefits, least of which will be faster load times and less down time between matches for players and viewers.
The season starts in just 10 days from now in Orlando, Florida.
