Earlier this week, Jason Schreier of Bloomberg reported that the entire staff of Annapurna Interactive has resigned. It was revealed the Annapurna Interactive President Nathan Gary and his team were negotiating with Ellison, the daughter of Larry Ellison to spin off the video-game division as an independent entity.
The video game team at Annapurna Interactive had 25 members and they have all resigned from the company. “This was one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make and we did not take this action lightly,” Gary said in the official statement.
Annapurna Interactive have been known for their work on Outer Wilds, Stray, Cocoon, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and more.
What will this mean for the recent publishing partnership Remedy Entertainment made with Annapurna for Control 2? It has been confirmed via Thomas Puha, the Communications Director at Remedy that Control 2 and the recent TV/Film projects for Alan Wake and the Control series will not be impacted by this.
Many of you are reaching out about the news around Annapurna (sorry to see what is going on to all involved ) Interactive. Thank you for your care! Remedy's deal for Control 2, including Alan Wake and Control AV rights, is with Annapurna Pictures, and we are self-publishing…
