Discover everything you need to know about the Arc Turbine in Arc Raiders, including how to defeat it.

The Arc Turbine is a real Arc enemy unit added in the Riven Tides update in Arc Raiders. This turbine-shaped combat machine is a high-tier boss-style arc enemy that appears in raids. Defeating the Arc Turbine can be challenging due to its unique behavior and demolishing attack pattern. This enemy spawns late in matches, but mostly appears in the Riven Tides map. It’s protected by heavy armor while airborne, so using the best weapons, healing items, and strategy is essential. Learn how to defeat Arc Turbine in Arc Raiders, including how to find it during a raid.

How To Find the Arc Turbine

Arc Turbine is a heavily armored, floating ARC machine that patrols maps like Riven Tides. This new arc enemy looks like a large cone and is much tougher than normal enemies. It’s a boss-type enemy that requires teamwork, patience, and proper timing to defeat. You usually can’t find this arc boss until the last half of a match.

Find the Arc Turbine

I recommend waiting for the final 15-minutes for it to appear, and then kill it using the best weapons. The Arc Turbine appears in both night raids, normal raids, and map conditions like Beachcombing. Below are the best-known locations to find this enemy in the northern coastal zones of Riven Tides.

  • Northeast: near the Tidebreaker seawall
  • Northwest: around Azzurro Beach/hotel area
  • North (Center): near Port Authority Building
  • West of Customs House: slightly (rare secondary spawn)

2 Turbines can spawn at once at the Port Authority or Customs area combo. Arc Turbine does not spawn at the start and appears late in the raid only.

  • Usually 13–20 minutes into the match
  • When 15 minutes remain

If you don’t see it by 13 minutes left, it probably doesn’t spawn that match in Arc Raiders. You may need multiple raids to find one. Make sure to play long raids and use high ground to spot it in the sky faster. The boss hears a loud thunderclap and descends from the sky like a meteor. You can spot it from afar, making it hard to miss.

Arc Turbine All Attacks

Arc Turbine stays flying in the air to patrol the Riven Tides map. This enemy has very high damage resistance while airborne. It can deploy proximity mines and fire homing missiles if you attack it. The Turbine drops mines on the ground, lands briefly, fires waves of lightning, and takes off again. The landing phase is the only time you can deal real damage.

Arc Turbine All Attacks

It exposes spinning canisters when it lands, so you must focus on firing these weak points. It can also escalate with more lightning barrages and explosives if you attack at the wrong time. Shooting it while airborne can delay its landing, making the fight longer. Below are all the attacks of Arc Turbine that you must be aware of.

  • Lightning Projectile Barrage: Fires multiple lightning projectiles to deal burst damage. This attack comes during or after the landing phase.
  • Mine Deployment: Drops multiple mines on the ground and has a large explosion radius. They stay active in the area, but are deployed before landing or during the combat cycle.
  • Homing Missiles: Launches missile-like explosive shots to pressure you from range, forcing reposition. This attack is triggered when you attack it while it’s flying.
  • Lightning Grenade: Throws AoE lightning blasts to damage anyone in the radius. Players near this area can be punished.
  • Defensive Counter: It becomes highly aggressive when you shoot it while airborne, triggering missiles & lightning.

The boss drops mines, lands, fire lightning barrages, takes off, and uses missiles if provoked. You must stay in cover during the lightning phase and watch the ground for mines. Don’t make the mistake of shooting it while flying; instead, spread out to avoid AoE lightning damage.

How To Defeat Arc Turbine

Killing the Arc Turbine is not an easy task due to its devastating attack pattern and behavior in Arc Raiders. Make sure not to shoot it while flying because it’s heavily armored in the air. You need to wait until it lands and opens its core. A time comes when you see yellow spinning canisters, which are the main weak point. Use the best damage-dealing weapon to destroy this damage window.

Defeat Arc Turbine

Aim directly at the yellow canister quickly because you only have a few seconds per landing. The best strategy is to fire 3-5 strong shots and then retreat. Launchers and Hullcrackers are the best weapons here to deal high burst damage. Rush towards solid cover immediately and wait until the attack ends when it retaliates with lightning strikes. The reason you need a cover is that they hit extremely hard and are harder to dodge in open areas.

  • Attack the turbine lands, hit when it uses lightning, and wait while it’s taking off.
  • Arc Turbine has very high HP, so defeating it alone can be slower and riskier.
  • Killing it with your teammates deals more damage during short windows and lets you revive or cover each other.
  • I recommend staying near cover before it lands, allowing you to shoot and instantly hide.
  • Shooting airborne Turbine deals no damage, but can trigger more attacks.
  • Check the ground before rushing when drops mines before landing.
  • Get closer to the Turbine to deal massive damage quickly before it takes off because it doesn’t have any defensive capabilities at close range.

Best Weapons to Defeat ARC Turbine

Choose the weapons with high burst damage and strong ARC armor penetration to quickly defeat the Arc Turbines. Weaker weapons have slow reload weapons with low impact, letting this arc enemy dominate on a battlefield.

Best weapons For Arc Turbine

  • Hullcracker: This weapon can deal 100 damage per shot and is perfect for short damage windows during the landing phase.
  • Jupiter: A high-tier energy weapon for consistent DPS instead of burst. This Sniper Rifle has massive sustained damage, letting you quickly chip its health.
  • Equalizer: Excellent at targeting weak spots and has reliable accuracy.
  • Anvil: This works well if you can’t afford top-tier weapons. It has strong armor penetration and deals massive per-shot damage.
  • Renegade: Easier to use than heavy weapons and has solid all-around performance.
Weapon Strength
Hullcracker Highest burst damage
Jupiter High sustained DPS
Equalizer Accuracy + power
Anvil Cheap + strong shots
Renegade Balanced

Best Healing Items

The combat with Arc Turbine is challenging, requiring fast, high-value healing and emergency burst heals. This enemy has short damage windows and heavy lightning burst attacks, so you need the best healing items.

  • Vita Shot: Reliable for clutch survival when you get hit and has no waiting time.
  • Sterilized Bandage: Heals high HP over time, making it best for recovering after each Turbine phase. This is cheaper than injectors and reliable between attack cycles.
  • Defibrillator: Revives downed teammates instantly and restores 50 HP on revive.
  • Vita Spray: Lets you heal while preparing the next attack phase and works well after Turbine lands.

Best Grenades

The Turbine is armored and mobile, with short, weak-point windows, so you want grenades to deal high burst damage in combat. Make sure to save them only for the landing phase and don’t throw during the airborne phase. You must stack grenades with weapon burst for weak point phases.

Best Grenades

  • Seeker Grenade: It locks onto the target and automatically finds nearby ARC enemies. You don’t need perfect timing because it deals massive damage during chaotic phases.
  • Snap Blast Grenade: It sticks to the Turbine and explodes after a short delay, making it more effective when it lands and exposes weak points.
  • Trigger Nade: It can be detonated at the perfect moment to deal massive damage, making it perfect for weak point bursts.
  • Wolfpack Grenade: This splits into multiple homing mini-missiles, and each missile deals separate damage.

Arc Turbine Loot & Rewards

You get a valuable special loot after defeating the Arc Turbine in Arc Raiders. It drops 2-3 Turbine Compressors, high-tier crafting materials, ammo, and rare blueprints. Turbine Compressors are basically used to craft the Powered Descender gadget, which is crucial for the Avian Alarm project progression. Below is the list of items you can gain for killing this new arc enemy.

Loot & Rewards

  • ARC Alloy
  • ARC Synthetic Resin
  • ARC Thermo Lining
  • ARC Motion Core
  • Advanced ARC Powercell
