For the ongoing forecast regarding PlatinumGames long-awaited sequel Bayonetta 3, it is uncertain where exactly he game is in its development phase. Since the game’s announcement predating back to The Game Awards in 2017, the Japanese game studio has provided little detail as to the state of the title since. And with that, fans are dying to receive any information on the title.

Of course, this later lead to the legendary “well into development” update that PlatinumGames’ studio director Hideki Kamiya issued. But directly, that does not answer questions from dire fans patiently waiting for the new game. But while much is still not said on the game, PlatinumGames once again leaves yet another vague statement in regards to the project.

In concluding 2020, Hideki Kamiya leaves a similar statement once again which is translated by Gematsu. You can read his full statement below:

First off, many people are worried about Bayonetta 3 considering there hasn’t been any new information since its announcement, but verifications of new systems have been going great and development is going very well, so please wait with peace of mind. (This is a copy of my 2020 comment.) Also Project G.G. (title tentative) has finally started moving, so please look forward to it.

Most noted, Kamiya once again relays that Bayonetta 3 is still progressing to the studio’s expectations. But, of course, there is no definitive information to reveal more than what is already known about the title. Regardless, it is still reassuring the game is in a good state as worded by PlatinumGames despite how little is said about the game.

Noted, Kamiya also commented on one project underway: Project G.G.. In that, he explains that while the project is in the early phase of development – the game is finally picking up traction after its announcement back in spring 2020. The title stands to be part of PlatinumGames initiative on transitioning to a fully independent developer.

Elsewhere previously, PlatinumGames did press that Bayonetta 3 is pursuing new ambitions this time around. While still not providing much, director Kamiya did explain that the project is going for new heights not regularly found in the Bayonetta series. You can read the full report by heading here.
