Since its release, Starfield has remained a talking point surrounding Bethesda for its newest IP. Roughly a year following its release, Starfield has accounted for more than 14 million players. And, the game is no stranger to DLCs. In fall 2024, story expansion ‘Shattered Space’ launched for Starfield. And, that is just the tip of the iceberg.
In one statement, Todd Howard expressed drive to ship an expansion annually for Starfield. According to a leak online, the next add-on story for Starfield is titled ‘Starborn’, however, there is no understanding when that will come as of year. There has also been a plentiful number of updates to Starfield as well like the one that added the Rev-8 vehicle to the full game.
Now in a recent update, Bethesda has pressed that there are major plans for 2025. While ending the year on a high note in 2024, there has been a suspicious amount of silence as well for the game this year. But in a response to one questioning fan on X, there is plenty to be excited for although there is no concrete date on what the promises will arrive on.
“We know you’re eager for an update, and we truly appreciate your passion for Starfield. The team has been hard at work, and while we’re not ready to share specific details just yet, we have a lot of exciting things planned for the game this year that we can’t wait to talk about when the time is right,” it wrote in the X post. “We’re always listening and taking your feedback to heart.”
Alongside DLC for Starfield, there is the possibility of more platforms. With Microsoft’s new tenure to releasing its first-party titles on competing hardware, Starfield could be one of them. Previously, Phil Spencer said that & Indiana Jones and the Great Circle were not part of the multiplatform release, but, it the Lucasfilms title is coming to PlayStation 5.
