Polish studio Bloober Team just earlier this year announced to already be working on a next-generation project. It was revealed that the Blair Witch team would be returning to 2017’s Observer to reintroduce the game with a complete generational makeover for the approaching systems. The Team slated the title to ship sometime in holiday 2020 in anticipation to align with the release of the new hardware from Microsoft and Sony.
Now revealed today during the Inside Xbox livstreamed presentation, Bloober Team has returned to announce a separate thriller The Medium. You can watch the trailer for yourself in the video below:
“Become a medium living in two worlds: the real and the spirit one. Haunted by a vision of a child’s murder, you travel to an abandoned hotel resort, which years ago became the stage of an unthinkable tragedy. There you begin your search for difficult answers.” The trailer alone comes to be yet another unnerving project from the team responsible for majority of this generations most notable horror entries.
Excitingly, if you could not tell from the soundtrack sample played in the trailer, Bloober Team is getting help from a certain composer imbedded in the genre. The studio revealed that the Polish development team will be collaborating with Akira Yamaoka who worked on the OST for the Silent Hill series to be involved with the score for The Medium.
Xbox Game Pass owners are in for a treat as the game will be a unique addition to the video game streaming service when the title ships later this year as well.
