Bloober Team Announces Pushed Release Date For The Medium To Late January 2021

While many of the big blockbuster releases for the Xbox Series X|S launch are missing for this month, fans are anticipating the launch window releases that are entailed to follow the consoles hitting store shelves officially. Among what is to come, Bloober Team’s The Medium is an exciting thriller following in the shoes of the titular protagonist.

Unlike other stories told by the Polish developer, The Medium instead offers two perspectives simultaneously bridged between one person. As you control Maryanne in reality, you also are in possession of her alternate being in the other world that breaks the fabric between life and the underworld. Last month, Bloober Team announced that The Medium will ship in mid December.

However, the team today shares its scheduled launch day is more ambitious than presumed. In that, the studio on Twitter announced to be pushing the release until late January in 2021. You can view the letterhead posted in the tweet below:

“After much careful thought and consideration, today we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Medium to January 28, 2020,” the statement reads. “It wasn’t an easy choice to make, but one made due to the COVID-19 situation in Poland, as well as the current schedule of other games on the market. Bloober Team remains committed to delivering our biggest, most ambitious, fear-inducing experience to date.”

While fans are left waiting an additional month for the next-generation exclusive title to arrive, Bloober Team is preparing to release another title as soon as next week.
