When it comes to story and Destiny people will most likely laugh especially after the first game. However, Bungie feels they have rectified the problem with lack of story in the Destiny sequel which is launching September 6, 2017.
It was only with big expansions like The Taken King and Rise of Iron that Bungie finally looked like it was able to pull some reasonable narrative strings. With Destiny 2, the developer is really keen on crafting a tale that’s far better told. The studio is “now ready to tell stories”, senior narrative lead Jason Harris and cinematic lead Matthew Ward told IGN.
Harris and Ward jokingly hope that the team’s efforts will lead to people complaining about “too much story” in Destiny 2, which is undoubtedly a quote that will come back to haunt them if Bungie serves up another narrative dud.
