Many game developers, studios, companies, and what have you, have already announced their partnerships with the Nintendo Switch, greatly diversifying the games that will be available to play. Capcom’s earnings Q&A was published today, and in it Capcom said the company is currently researching whether or not it is possible to bring its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One multi-platform games to the Switch. Because they have nothing to confirm yet, no further details were released as to which games they were looking in to. Capcom acknowledged that there are “differences in desired direction and play-style” between the Switch, PS4, and Xbox One, and stated that when developing a game they take software and hardware features into consideration before deciding which platform to release the game on.
“It is excellent to have the market invigorated with new hardware launches. Following first party, in order to introduce our own content we are currently moving forward with internal planning and analysis as a partner company.”
