
It has been more than a year since the last project from developer PixelOpus shipped, Concrete Genie. As derived from the title, sort of, players are given an extensive roster of tools to create an expansive composition in the PlayStation VR title. It was later in February 2021 that Sony Interactive Entertainment went on to ship the game as a PlayStation Plus free game earlier this year.
However, the next project from PixelOpus is still left in obscurity. However, the firm in a recent tweet unveiled it is hiring for a Principal Graphics Programmer & Software Engine Programmer. But, the juiciest part of the discovery is that the new project is said to be in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation and to utilize Unreal Engine 5 as well.
“We are seeking a Principal Graphics Programmer to contribute to our development process as we tackle exciting innovation and rendering opportunities through a collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation,” one overview reads from the job listing. This position specializes in programming that centers around the graphics functionality of the PlayStation 5 and Unreal 5 game engine, but with our small team, responsibilities will be diverse.”
“We are seeking a Senior Engine Programmer with a generalist skillset to architect, implement, and modify runtime and tools features of PixelOpus’ engine technology and Unreal 5. This position will contribute to our development process as we tackle exciting innovation and creative opportunities through a collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation.”
In recent events, Epic Games offered another showcase for Unreal Engine 5 in partnership with Summer Game Fest.
