In collaboration with video game publisher Annapurna Interactive, studio Cardboard Computer has announced that their 2013 title Kentucky Route Zero will be coming to all major consoles in the last week of January. Initially, the game released only for PC on Steam comprised of five page-turning acts with following additions included later on.

The respected ‘TV Edition’ for consoles will include the entire package which is comprised of the main game and the later added “interludes” which Cardboard Computer relieved unto owners of the title for free originally. Here is the provided synopsis for the game:

“KENTUCKY ROUTE ZERO: TV EDITION is a magical realist adventure game about a secret highway running through the caves beneath Kentucky, and the mysterious folks who travel it. Wander the highways of Kentucky, meet dozens of compelling characters, learn the secret language of bats, and make some friends before morning.”

At the time of the game’s release more than half a decade prior, Cardboard Computer’s first title release was ranked to be a Game of the Year contender from both Killscreen and Rock, Paper, Shotgun. While not given the same nomination from another video game outlet Destructoid, the title was received with a near perfect score of 9.5/10.
