Update:

Following the release for the expansion’s recently released trailer, Remedy Entertainment revealed that The Foundation story add-on will be shipping to PlayStation 4 and PC (Epic Games Store) on March 26 this week. However, Xbox One owners of the game will be subjected to wait until June 25th later this year to play the first expansion of the game.

You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

Original:

Remedy Entertainment’s Control when releasing back in August shipped with a gripping story, intuitive gameplay, and drop-dead visuals thanks to the in-house built Northlight Engine. And while there is plenty for players to experience in the base game, the team scheduled more content to be added at a later date to the action-adventure title.

Back in December, Remedy Entertainment abruptly dropped the end game-filler Expeditions mode for players looking for more incentive to work for better in-game items. Although the mode can hold over for the time being, the studio also disclosed that the first story expansion The Foundation will be shipping later this March. And now with the month upon us, there is confirmation on when to expect the DLC.

Announced on Twitter, Remedy Entertainment shared that expansion one for Control will be arriving next Thursday, March 26.

Dissecting the fundamental basis for this new story campaign experience, Remedy Entertainment has yet to properly disclose much detail on the DLC expansion. Back in September, the team when initially announcing the game’s content roadmap shared that The Foundation would “delve into the history of the Oldest House,” hence the name. But given from the short glimpses of the DLC itself in trailers, players can expect new areas to explore the root that conjured the mind-twisting setting for the title.

Are you still unfamiliar with Control? You can read our full review for the game by heading here! Rectify Gaming’s David Rodriguez tells the experience of Control to be “feels like the creation of a Remedy Gaming Universe, as Control has elements of Remedy’s lineage in every aspect of it’s DNA while embracing new design to create something unique.”

Control is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
