Darksiders Warmastered Edition Arrives To Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 Today

The last full release regarding the Darksiders IP came back in 2019 with Darksiders Genesis. The Airship Syndicate release was described to feature “a ton of depth, the campaign is lengthy and has great character development.” Our review continues: “The superb blend of action, platforming and exploration that made the series such a standout is intact.”

Elsewhere, the previous remaster of the original 2010 title ‘Darksiders Warmastered Edition’ also hit more platforms around that time. In that, the remastered release arrived to the Nintendo Switch which was a welcomed addition. More recently, Gunfire Games back in August 2025 offered a proper announcement for Darksiders 4 which has yet to receive an update on the current state of the new title.

Amid the wait, both Xbox Series X|S as well as PlayStation 5 can dive back into Darksiders Warmastered Edition today with native versions available now. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

The press release does reveal that certain versions will require an additional fee. On PlayStation 5, original owners of Darksiders Warmastered Edition for PlayStation 4 will require a purchase upgrade of $9.99 to access the game on the newer console. For Xbox Series X|S, simply owning the Xbox One version qualifies for a free upgrade to its sibling console with no extra charge.
