Last year, Kojima Productions launched its sequel Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. In our review for the 2025 follow-up, we scored it an impressive 9.5/10. “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a profound and masterful achievement that blends innovative gameplay, cinematic storytelling, and technical excellence into a cohesive and unforgettable experience. Just like the first game, this full fledged sequel may not appeal to everyone, but the game’s ambition, polish, and artistry are undeniably beautiful.”
Looking ahead for the series, Kojima Productions are making waves for Death Stranding in transmedia currently. The live-action film under A24 is still in motion; lead Ugo Kier unfortunately did pass away before filming. And, an animated film is also in the works as well at Kojima Productions with ‘Isolations’ planned to release later on in 2027.
At the PlayStation State of Play showcase, Kojima Productions & Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will arrive to PC later this March. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

Kojima Productions head of publishing Jay Boor also said: “In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach players are given the freedom to take on deliveries and tackle combat challenges however they see fit. Whether you like to go stealthily, or charge in all-guns-blazing, with DualSense wireless controller integration, complete mouse and keyboard support, as well as supports 3D Audio via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, or Windows Sonic for Headphones, giving players all sorts of options, no matter how you like to play.”
