Detroit: Become Human overtakes God of War to become number one in the latest UK charts

The UK’s latest physical games chart is in, and a bunch of new releases finally put an end to God of War’s five week dominance atop the best sellers. Replacing it in the top spot is Detroit: Become Human, Quantic Dream’s newest story-driven adventure title. According to GamesIndustry.biz, the sci-fi drama is roughly selling in line with the studio’s previous game, Beyond: Two Souls, but as digital sales aren’t included, it’s likely to have had a better first week in total.
Microsoft’s State of Decay 2 and Bandai Namco’s Dark Souls Remastered take second and third respectively, and it’s this trio of new releases, as well as consistent sales for FIFA 18, that see God of War drop down to fifth. Perhaps the biggest notable jump, however, comes from Overwatch, which has leaped from No.40 to No.7 thanks to in-store price promotions.
