In the world of episodic games, the past year has been a jolt of new energy. Just this month, it was revealed by Telltale Games that it is officially returning to The Wolf Among Us. Later in 2026, the original 2013 series is to receive a remaster for all major platforms. Additionally, the long-anticipated The Wolf Among Us 2 is planning to release in 2027 now.
As for what is currently available, AdHoc Studios’ Dispatch has been making waves over the last year. This past November, actor Aaron Paul shared excitement to return to the series with hopes of more season on the way. Available for PlayStation 5 & PC, the game studio then shared that following month that Nintendo Switch would also be part of the equation too.
Now this week, AdHoc Studios returns with a new title update for Dispatch – HR Violation. The new update includes changes to the game’s censorship options for Nintendo Switch as well as other customization on both PlayStation and PC also. It is clarified this depends on select regions. “Available settings vary per region, so read on to make sure you’re fully aware of which HR Violations you’re committing before you play.”
Coverage Settings (Partial or Full)
Partial Coverage (Default): Butts, boobs, and birds (AKA, middle fingers) are all set free. HR tells us genitals and explicit audio are still off limits, so those stay censored.
Full Coverage: Fully censors all explicit visual and audio content.
Censorship Styles (Mosaic, Chaotic, or Blackout)
Mosaic (Default): Covers up with a demure pixelated blob.
Chaotic: Covers up with whatever’s lying around, like jorts.
Blackout: This standard censorship style is still available for maximum coverage.
“While Steam and PlayStation will continue to have all the classic, uncensored smut you know and love as the default setting, we’re also making this free update available on those platforms – because everyone deserves the chance to see Toxic in jorts.Xbox players will get access to these settings when the game releases later this summer,” the developer writes in the blog post.
