While Netflix continues to capitalize on the video game market with many prominent franchises like The Witcher, Castlevania, or the upcoming arrival for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, there other namely properties that prove to be a growing attraction on the entertainment streaming service. In particular, Valve’s DOTA shows to be another tent pole series on Netflix outside of the world renowned MMO.

It was back in March that Netflix launched the first season of the show, DOTA: Dragon’s Blood. From the glimpse of the first trailer, familiar fans were easy to grasp the story that takes place in the game’s universe. More exciting is that the success of the first increment has proven to fulfill expectancy for a second entry in the television series.

On Twitter recently, Valve announced that DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is to receive a second season, Book II. You can read the tweet imbedded below:

In celebration of the new announcement for the DOTA: Dragon’s Blood audience, Valve also launched a new three-part documentary, Free To Play. The miniseries follows the path of three professional DOTA 2 players and their journey to compete in the million dollar tournament that took place back during 2011’s The International.

As for other relevant details pointed towards Netflix for its video game shows, Castlevania is to close with its fourth season coming this May. However, there is a report that followed by Deadline which appears to illustrate that Netflix will proceed with a new series separate from the current show.
