Kicking off today’s E3 Nintendo Direct was the announcement that The Hero from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age will be joining the roster in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Not only that, but 3 other heroes from the Dragon Quest series will also be making their way in as alternate skins including the long rumored Erdrick. The Hero will launch sometime in the Summer of 2019 and be available as part of the Fighters Pass or available separately as a $5.99 purchase. As with all other characters, a stage and collection of music will be included. The third fighter, Banjo-Kazooie, was also announced today. This leaves 2 more DLC fighters left to be announced for the Fighters Pass. As for who will make the cut, we now know that almost anyone is on the table.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
