Halo Studios released a lot of question and answers in its latest June community blog post. It was all about Halo: Campaign Evolved and what we did not know yet. What stood out was that the Collector’s Edition is not being restocked after it was live briefly.
Out of all the information that was shared one of the standouts was that Halo: Campaign Evolved will NOT feature a Photo Mode or Theater Mode. This seems to be a feature that is also not planned for post-launch either.
The alternative to Photo Mode in Halo: Campaign Evolved will be to use the Blind Skull. This skull hides your HUD UI, weapons, and hands from view combined with the Acrophobia Skull, which allows you to fly, should be able to provide some good photo opportunities.
While this is a nice alternative, but it comes as a surprise as early Halo games such as Halo 3 featured a Theater mode that also allowed you to view with friends.
Are you surprised there isn’t a Photo Mode in Halo: Campaign Evolved?
The Halo remake will release on July 28, 2026 for XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and XBOX on PC.
