Everspace's Colonial Gunship teased on Xbox Live

If you’ve followed the development of the new roguelike 6-degrees-of-freedom space shooter Everspace, you’ll know the last major update to the developing title included a second ship for players to purchase with in-game currency. If you didn’t, now you’re up to speed, but here’s a short rundown of what Everspace brings to the table, especially considering what the developers teased on Xbox Live yesterday.
Everspace, which originally began as a Kickstarter-funded Indie game from Germany-based Rockfish Labs, has expanded both its player base and scope for the project when it got Greenlit on Steam and made its way to Xbox via the Xbox Game Preview Program. To further increase player opportunity, the game got an update that enabled Xbox Play Anywhere functionality so Windows 10 players can join their Xbox Live friends in the gorgeous and deadly space shooter.
The big news going into the New Year was that the game’s third ship, the Colonial Gunship, was coming soon for players to board and dominate with. On New Year’s Eve, the Everspace developer account on Xbox Live posted an in-game screenshot of the upcoming craft, and it got the fans pumped. All comments at the time of writing express excitement for the ship to finally be playable, and the excitement going into the update will likely only increase.
