Both the team from Telltale as well as Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller took the stage today at Austin’s SXSW Gaming Expo to talk about the new Batman series that Telltale announced at the 2015 Game Awards back in December. Even though the game is too early for any scenes from the game or another trailer, they did confirm that the first premier of the game will be coming this summer. As well as stating details for the game such as:

  • Batman gives the team at Telltale to explore in the world of Batman and having to make decisions to shape Gotham as you play throughout the game as the Dark Knight.
  • Decisions affecting both Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego the Cape Crusader made by either or.
  • To be set in current times, less of the ‘Bat-Family’ story arc nor connected to any comics or movies as well. But characters such as Alfred Pennyworth, Jim Gordon and Vicki Vale will make an appearance.
  • Information on the villains will be kept under the table until the official premier.
  • Creating a world influenced from over the 75+ years of Batman artwork to make a live comic world.
  • And like the other Telltale titles, Batman will be receiving a M (Mature 17+) rating.

As of right now, all we can do is be patient until the premier later this year, maybe around E3 time? Keep with Rectifygaming.com to stay up to date with all gaming media.
