Announced by The Hollywood Reporter that the Five Nights At Freddy’s movie adaptation will be directed by Chris Columbus along with Jason Blum.
Chris Columbus behind the first two Harry Potter films; The Sorcerer’s Stone and The Chamber Of Secrets as well as 2015’s Pixels will be directing the film. While Jason Blum behind films Get Out and Insidious will be writing for the upcoming film. As well as the game’s creator Scott Cawthon to be the film’s producer. And even teased in a tweet by Blum’s company showing a seat next to Columbus’s seat reserved for Freddy Fazbear.

With many adaptations for video games to movies end up not fully translating to what fans expect, we still have to be cautious until more is revealed for the upcoming film. With what’s announced as of yet, it seems promising for what to be expected for the genre the game is set in.
