Last week, it was leaked through an Instagram post that the setting for Forza Horizon 6 will be in Japan. The location that fans have wanted for a very long time looks to be a reality as a new report claims this rumor to be true.
According to Windows Central, Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan and has seen documentation of plans to announce it during Tokyo Game Show in September. The annual event would be a perfect spot to reveal the game, given the setting.
Reliable insider, NateTheHate, also chimed in on this report and claims it to be accurate. He says, “Intent is to announce Forza Horizon 6 at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.”
Tokyo Game Show takes place from September 25 to 28.
He also mentions he has not heard of a Switch 2 version in the works. Nate did mention in his replies on X (Twitter) that the target is to release Forza Horizon 6 in the first half of 2026.
Forza Horizon 6 will likely release on PlayStation 5 and, of course, Xbox Series and PC. No one seems sure if it will be available day one on PS5 or if it’ll be console exclusive to Xbox for a certain timeframe. Forza Horizon 5 has done extremely well on PlayStation, making it the best-selling game of 2025 on the platform so far.
